New Garage Door Installation Sydney
Upgrading a tired old door or building new? We supply and install roller, sectional, tilt and custom garage doors matched to your home and street.
Doors Built For Your Home
From renovating a heritage home in Mosman to replacing an old roller door in a Cremorne laneway or fitting out a new build on the Northern Beaches, we help you choose a garage door that suits the opening, the street and your budget.
A new garage door installation covers a lot more than picking a colour off a brochure. It's about getting the right door style for your opening, a frame and track set-up that will last, and an opener that suits how you actually use the garage day to day. We handle the whole thing: the measure, the supply, the old door removal, the fit-off and the final safety checks.
When It's Time For A New Door
Most garage door problems can be repaired, and we'll always say so if that's the better option for your budget. But there comes a point with an older door where replacement starts to make more sense than another repair bill, especially if:
- The door is 20 or more years old and parts are getting harder to source
- You've had two or three repairs in the last year or two on the same door
- The panels are rusted, warped or visibly sagging
- A storm, vehicle strike or falling branch has damaged the frame or panels badly
- You're renovating and want a door that actually matches the new facade
- You want to add insulation, quieter operation or app-based control that an old manual door can't support
On the other hand, a door that's structurally sound with a broken spring, a bent panel or a tired opener is usually a repair job, not a replacement one. We'll always tell you honestly which category your door falls into. There's no benefit to us talking you into a new door you don't need, and plenty of our new installation customers are people we could have repaired but who decided, once they knew the full picture, that a new door made more sense for their home.
Door Styles We Install

Roller Doors
Compact and cost-effective, rolling up into a box above the opening. Ideal for narrow openings and laneway garages common in Cremorne and Neutral Bay. Also known as roller shutters.

Sectional Doors
Panel doors that lift flat into the ceiling, sometimes called panel lift doors. A popular choice for modern homes, with good insulation and a clean street-facing look.

Custom & Feature Doors
Flush, feature-finish and made-to-measure doors in the colour and material that suits your home, from sleek modern flush panels to timber-look finishes.
Got plenty of driveway clearance? A tilt door, a single panel that pivots out and up, is worth considering too. Ask us for a comparison when we measure up.

How We Assess Your Opening
Every quote starts with a proper on-site measure, not a guess from a photo. We check the width and height of the opening, how much headroom sits above it for the track and springs, how much room is available down the sides, and how far back the door needs to travel into the garage.
These measurements rule some door styles in and others out. A low bulkhead above the opening might suit a roller door better than a sectional one. A shallow garage might need a low-headroom track kit. We'll explain what your opening allows for before you commit to a style, rather than after the door has been ordered.
Choosing The Right Door
- Insulation: worth it if the garage is attached to living space, used as a workshop, or backs onto a bedroom wall
- Noise: sectional and tilt doors generally run quieter than a basic roller door, especially paired with a belt drive opener
- Street appeal: colour, panel profile and window inserts all affect how the door reads from the street, which matters more on a character home
- Security: heavier gauge steel, multi-point locking and reinforced panels are worth discussing if the garage stores valuables or connects to the house
- Budget: roller doors are typically the most affordable option, sectional sits in the middle, and custom or feature doors cost more but suit a specific look
From Measure To Handover
Enquiry & Initial Chat
Tell us about the door you're after, or the problem you're trying to solve, and we'll book a time to come out and measure.
On-Site Measure & Quote
We measure the opening properly, talk through door styles, colours and automation, and give you a flat, written quote before you commit to anything.
Order & Scheduling
Once you're happy to proceed, we order the door to your specifications and book in an installation date. Lead times vary by door style and finish.
Old Door Removal
On the day, we remove and dispose of your existing door, tracks and hardware as part of the job, so there's nothing left for you to deal with.
Fitting & Adjustment
We install the new frame and tracks if needed, fit the door, set the springs to the correct tension, and adjust everything for smooth, balanced operation.
Motor, Safety Checks & Handover
We fit and program the opener, test the safety sensors and auto-reverse function, and walk you through operating the new door before we leave.
Motor & Opener Compatibility
If your existing opener is in good condition, we can often reuse it on a new door, provided it's compatible with the new door's weight and travel. If it's old, underpowered for a heavier insulated door, or simply near the end of its life, we'll recommend pairing the new door with a new opener so everything works together properly from day one. Either way, we test the full system, not just the door, before we call the job finished.
