Why Springs Break, And Why It Matters

Garage door springs carry the full weight of the door, winding and unwinding thousands of times a year. Over time, metal fatigue takes over and the spring snaps, often with a loud bang you can hear from inside the house.

Once a spring goes, the door becomes extremely heavy and can be unsafe to lift manually or operate on the motor alone. Continuing to use the opener with a broken spring puts extra strain on the motor and can damage it too.

Cable Repair & Replacement
